Upon receipt, we will call you to discuss your vehicle further. We will either be able to offer an appointment for a full appraisal, or you will be asked to send us more details so we can calculate a more accurate price for you.

Absolutely not! Many people who come to us are looking to sell their van quickly, however, we are happy to give you time to consider our offer. Our offer will stand for 48 hours, after which time the vehicle will need to be re-valued. All of our appointments are free, with no obligation to sell.

We provide free, no-obligation online valuations which are only based on the van details provided at that time. All online or phone valuations are ‘subject to appraisal’ however provided all damage that is visible to our vehicle appraisal technician, is clearly listed, shown in a photo or has been spoken about during your valuation, there should be no reason for us to not pay the price we have offered.

There are factors that will affect how much your vehicle is worth. During the appraisal we will assess the van’s age, mileage and condition. We will also check the service history, any warranties, and extra features that may increase the desirability and value of the van. Following a full appraisal we will be able to give you a competitive valuation of your vehicle.

Following an initial free online valuation, Sell My Van Fast can offer an appraisal appointment at our local branch in Bordon, Hampshire, or we can visit your home or place of work to conduct the appraisal. The appointment should take no longer than 20 minutes and should you agree to sell your van to us at the offered price, payment is made via faster payment, so the money will be in your account immediately.

For us to purchase your van we will ask for you to have the V5 document and provide evidence of any service history that you have for the van. You will also need to bring along some personal ID.

Depending on the severity of the issue on the vehicle we can offer a driver to come and collect the vehicle with a recovery truck, however, this can incur extra charges.

We recommend using WhatsApp to send us photos of all the damage on the vehicle with the registration and mileage so we can provide you with the most accurate valuation. The phone number for this is 07508 953 496.

We offer free online valuations, however, we cannot make an offer on a vehicle without conducting a full appraisal. For this reason, we would recommend that you only use our services if you are genuinely interested in selling your vehicle to us.

It is company policy that we will not purchase any vehicles from the motor trade (regardless of condition).

After your appraisal, you have the option to complete the sale and have the money transferred instantly, or alternatively, if you would like some time to consider our offer you will be given 48 hours to decide whether or not you wish to proceed. If you decide after taking the vehicle away that you do wish to sell the vehicle to us, we would need to do a quick once-over check to ensure the van is still in the same condition as when we appraised it. If you decide to come back to us after 48 hours, you would need to book another appraisal slot and have the van completely revalued.

Once we have received the details for your vehicle, we will ask you if you are planning on coming to us for your appraisal or doing it all online. The price that we offer will reflect this. If we have to rely on photos and information provided online, the risk for us is greater, therefore the difference in your final offer will reflect this, so it is worth making the journey to our Appraisal Centre in Bordon if you can.

You can apply online to take off the registration and put the plate onto ‘retention’ which means you own the number plate but it is just inactive. If you wish to do this, just click on the DVLA link below and follow the link to complete the process. From this point, you have 10 years to put the personalised plate onto your new vehicle. Once you have put the plate on retention, you can put the original plates back onto the van and the DVLA will send you a new V5 in the post. Once this new V5 arrives, you can then bring the van into us to be valued and complete the sale.

In order to sell a van to us we would need the V5 document in the same surname as yourself. If not, we would require personal verification from the vehicle owner stated on the V5 or information behind the reasoning as to why they are absent from the valuation (deceased or ill).

If your vehicle has been previously written-off or is currently badly damaged, we would not be interested in purchasing it. Unfortunately we do not have a scrapage scheme in place yet.

The vehicle appraiser will ask your permission to drive your van. You are more than welcome to accompany them on the drive. It will just be short drive to road test the brakes and gears. The test drive will not be vigorous and will be no longer than 5 minutes.

In order to sell your vehicle to us you would need a V5 registration document. If you have lost your V5 then you can call the DVLA and explain the circumstances and pay the fee of £25 and request a new V5 to be sent to your address.

Financial FAQs

The valuation we give online is a rough estimate, going on the basis the van is in remarkable condition and has 2 keys with no foreign smells. The final value is subject to inspection but providing the van ticks all the boxes the price will be similar to the rough estimate as we would not be looking to waste your time and our own.

After the deal is complete and all the documents are signed off the money will be paid via bacs (bank account transfer) immediately. We are more than happy for you to wait with us and check on mobile banking that the funds have been received before you leave.

We can arrange settlement of any outstanding finance on your van. For us to do this we will need you to provide an in-date letter from your finance company, detailing the current settlement figure and your agreement reference number. The settlement amount will be deducted from the amount paid to you for your van. We will pay your finance company within 4 working days after the day of sale. If you owe more on your finance than the value of the van, we will still be happy to buy the van, but you will need to pay us the shortfall by debit/credit card when we purchase your vehicle.

Unfortunately, for us to pay for the vehicle we would require a valid United Kingdom bank account to transfer the money into. Without a bank account, we would not be able to process the payment. We do not offer cash purchases.

There are no fees for choosing to sell your van to us. We would offer you all the money we possibly can for your particular van so you receive the full amount for what your van is worth. No hidden admin fees or small-print charges.

If you chose to sell your van to us, we will notify the DVLA that you have sold the vehicle to us and you will automatically get a refund for any full remaining months left on the vehicle tax.
